My Memories And Others Memories

This past Saturday morning the boyfriend was up and out the door without me.  Bye honey.  You might ask what I was doing I was sleeping sleep was more important then the hunt.  When he got back we were off to the local secondhand stores.  We found a few things but my new planters won't make it into my blog till next Spring.  The following finds are from the past couple of months that I finally got the pictures done.

Early picture of a Indian village in Sechelt, British Columbia.  A few decades later I would spend my holidays at the family cabin on the beach in Sechelt.

The above pictures are not from my family collection but are someone Else's memories that ended up in a local secondhand store.  I totally missed the old album these pictures came in, luckily the boyfriend spotted it.  I love old photo's even if they're someone Else's memories.

Oh my gosh childhood flashback I remembered a family friend having a cookie jar like this one when I was a kid in the 70's.  I found it at the first garage sale we went to a couple of weeks ago.

About a month ago the boyfriend had only one flea market so when he saw a garage sale sign I'm sure the car made a beeline to it's target.  He found this 1958 promotional Pyrex oval divided casserole dish the pattern is Barbed Wire.  He was also over the moon since he got a good deal on a English fly fishing rod.

This blue bubble paperweight was another good addition to my collection.

These Dahlia's are from my garden the color makes me think of Hawaiian Punch.

Road Trip And Local Finds

A week ago Friday we were in Kamloops, British Columbia and had time to stop by some of the secondhand stores.  Some of the finds in this post are from that trip.

The three yellow  Pyrex bowl set is the Butterfly Gold 2 pattern and the white and aqua set is the Butterprint pattern.  The casserole dish is the Town And Country pattern and found at another store.

This single bright cheery green mug caught my eye, it was made in England.

I'm not sure but I'm guessing this may be a cookie jar.  It's marked either 620 copyright U.S.A. or 626 copyright U.S.A. I'm not sure if it's a zero or six.

I'm not sure what purpose this dish serves it may just be a decorative piece on the back it's signed C.A.

Back to my local secondhand stores I found this teapot and mug.

This bag is so me it just said buy me buy me so I did.

The warm sunny weather we've been having this month made me think of this picture.  I can see my grandmother in it, who everyone else is and how she knew them I have no clue.

Mostly Orange, Green And Blue

The following items are all secondhand store finds from the last two weeks.  I picked up two fairly large boxes of finds this Saturday alone.  These finds will be in my next few blogs.

1950's Atomic Age Eames Glass Cookie Jar.

This 1960 mid century modern California Pottery serving dish is in a Psychedelic design.  These pieces have 872 Calif. U.S.A. stamped on the bottom.  The colors are a red/orange, yellow and avocado green.

This piece caught my eye I believe it is California pottery.  I thought it was stamped on the bottom with U.S.A. Cal. Orici 334 but I found nothing when I tried to research it.  The colors are Avocado with a green and blue hue.

This dish is a piece of Canadian Blue Mountain Pottery.  Located in Collingwood, Ontario founded in 1947 and closed in 2004.

I've added this orange glass flower frog to my collection.

These notecards and envelopes I bought because the pictures worked for a window display.
