Time Moving Ahead And Back To The Hoosier

On Sunday yet again I woke up to snow falling.  I have a friend who keeps telling me it's pretty.  What's wrong with her?  We both have to shovel it at work I like her positive thinking but a sore back doesn't make snow pretty to me.
The fiancé and I took the Mustang out of the garage on Saturday and hit one of the second hand stores I found some odds and ends nothing special.  In the parking lot a older women getting out of the car next to ours proceeded to ram her walker into the driver side door of our car three times.  Luckily for us and I don't know how she didn't do any damage.  This is the same store I had my run in with two other older ladies with walkers.

Well next Sunday is daylight savings time so we will be springing ahead by one hour here in British Columbia.  So I thought it was a good time to share my collection of Westclox alarm clocks and ad's I have found.

BACK TO THE HOOSIER

For the next few months on the first Monday of the month I'm going to be doing a Back To The Hoosier post, the following is the one for March.

The shelves are full of Corning Ware in the Blue Cornflower pattern. I believe Corning Ware was designed by Joseph Baum and they began selling it in 1958.  I found the ad's in old magazines.

This paperweight was a gift from this past Christmas.  I have a bigger one a lot like it in the same design and colors already which I inherited from my fiancé's mother's collection.

I found this Pyrex juice container late in the day at my favorite second hand store hidden almost from sight on the bottom of the shelving.

Once again I have no idea where this picture was taken.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

  1. Your Hoosier and cornflower corningware are nostalgic for me. Both my grandmother's had Hoosier's. Wish I knew what happened to them. I married in the 70's so I have around 10 cornflower pieces I use often.

    Thanks for the memories.

  18. Just loving that Hoosier, and what a great collection of Blue Cornflower. My mom had a lot of that when I was young, so it's very familiar to me. Love the Pyrex bottle you found. Thank you for sharing this at my History & Home Link Party this week, take care - Dawn @ We Call It Junkin.com
