In the past week I've had some unbelievable finds at the secondhand stores and the garage sales on Saturday. I had time Sunday morning to get quite a few photo's since a family of racoons would not leave my yard so my yard work went on hold.
I saw these statues on the shelf at a local secondhand store as soon as I saw them they were in my basket. I knew I was going to put them on either side of my white vase.
I arrived later in the day after garage saleing at a local secondhand store who had a good portion of their items on for half price and somehow this paperweight was still on the shelf waiting for me. It's now in my collection.
The Dahlias are from my yard. I put a flower frog in a Dominion glass wide mouth canning jar. I think it's a perfect fit.
Mocha and Coco are my boyfriend's cat's their photo's were taken while sitting on our pew in our front entrance, angels they are not. The Melmac bowls seen between them I picked up at the secondhand store as back up food dishes.
The 1st picture is of clear bottom nesting bowls, a Pyrex container with a lid in 1960's color and a one cup vintage Pyrex teapot minus the lid with the fleur de lis pattern.
This 2nd picture I believe is a Pyrex cake dish is flamingo pink when I found it; it was minus a lid which I later found at a secondhand store.
The 3rd picture is where the cake dish now sits on a shelf in my Hoosier.
This is a picture of my dad's cousin, I was surprised when I found it. When I was born she was already middle aged so I would have never guessed this picture existed.
I took my picture of my Dahlias and decided to use picmonkeys Warhol setting to change the picture. I liked how it turned out so I thought I would add it to this post.

Great finds. I always enjoy seeing your glass paperweights! I was laughing about your racoon story - I recently experienced a "racoon invasion" as well, which is weird since I live in the city!
