A Drive And Finds
This post has some pictures from a drive we took last Sunday. And some finds found at the secondhand stores.
I stopped on a country road and picked up some flowers at this stand.
These pictures are from the drive.
This collage is a blast from the past with this dress. I'm guessing it's from the late 1960's or early 70's.
The chip bowl is missing the dip bowl and holder but I thought it would make a good salad bowl.
The pineapple looking candle is in colors I like and was kind of different.
This mug was made in Sadler England I'm guessing late 1960's or early 70's.
These leather purses remind me of ones I had as a kid in the 1970's.
This is the middle size in the refrigerator set I believe it's the Butterfly 2 pattern.
I've finally got four wheels in the garage. I've wanted a gardening wagon for awhile. I found this one last week at a secondhand store. Sadly my truck still sits in the driveway.

When I graduated from college, I splurged and had a leather purse made similar to the ones you showed. I loved the purse and felt so grown up that I had ordered it and paid for it myself. I think it cost $10 and I remember putting $1 a week in an envelope until I could pay it off. We didn't use credit cards then.
ReplyDeleteI love Sunday drives with my hubby! What great finds along your way. The pineapple sure is different looking. I have never seen anything like it. I need a gardening wagon!
ReplyDeleteI remember those purses! Too funny. That celtic cross sculpture (or was it a tombstone?)is beautiful. What a nice way to spend an afternoon!
ReplyDeleteA bit of Pyrex envy here...there seems to be a distinct lack of cool Pyrex in these parts...either that or I'm looking in the wrong spots
ReplyDeleteI think you scored!
ReplyDeleteLove the Pyrex (of course). It's called Butterfly Gold and it's pretty common around here. I actually have a few pieces of it in my garage sale pile right now. I am a huge collector but have to weed out some of my less favorite patterns to make room for more:-)
