The above Sherman brooch was a Valentines day gift from my wonderful boyfriend. Sherman is a Canadian company that made good quality costume jewelry. I now have four of their brooches in my collection.
The above pans are Le Creuset they are enamelled cast iron cookware. The company was started in 1925 in Fresnoy le Grand in the North of France by two Belgians Armand Desaegher and Octave Aubecq.
The above pans are Dansk they are enamelled sheet steel cookware. The company was started in 1954 by Ted Nierenberg who was in partnership with Danish designer Jens Quistgaard who designed for 30 years for the company. The company is American but the cookware was manufactured in Denmark then in 1966 they started manufacturing in France.
From The Family Collection:
Here Comes The Sun
Here comes the sun (doo doo doo doo)
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right
Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right
Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear
Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right
Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right
It's all right
By George Harrison
Whenever I look at this picture of the sunlight through the trees I think of the Beatles song Here Comes The Sun.

Oh I love the cookware you found! I inherited a Le Creuset roaster in the orange like you have. I would LOVE to have your pieces! They look like they are in wonderful condition. I also love the Dansk pieces. I found some at an estate sale but didn't buy them. I regret that horribly!
ReplyDeleteLove the cookware - those Dansk pots in yellow are on my wishlist!

I'm familiar with Weiss and Eisenberg! But not Sherman ~ quite lovely, especially since it was a gift from your boyfriend. Both are keepers!
