The above pictures are by Cicely Mary Barker she was an illustrator best known for her work on fairies and flowers. She was born June 28th 1895 in Croydon, Surrey, England and passed away February 16th 1973.
These pictures are out of a book called A Flower Fairy Alphabet illustrated by Cicely Mary Barker. I picked the book up for a friend for Christmas but she already had this copy. So I picked up a frame that has a mat that holds three pictures at a secondhand store. My boyfriend sanded the frame for me I painted it white. I put the pictures with the letters of her name behind the mat and framed it up.
This canister I can't see any markings on though my boyfriend says he can see the Fire King symbol. I found a picture of a set of canisters that look like mine. The canisters are Fire King Groovy Flower by Anchor Hocking . So my boyfriend may be right.
This white frosted chip and dip bowl set is a nice addition to my collection. It was an end of the day secondhand store shopping find.
From The Family Collection
I picked this picture because I like mountains and snow pictures and the hikers make it an interesting photo.
