This weekend I didn't go to any garage sales Saturday or flea markets on Sunday. I refused to get up when my boyfriend's alarm went off at 6:30 a.m. to get out there. I just couldn't do it. I got up at 8:30 a.m. and got some much needed housework done. The following pictures are of finds I haven't had time to post till now.
This dress mannequin was a flea market find I got the body part and the base but it was short the pole in between.
Now we have a pole and it's standing tall.
My boyfriend found this piece of Daisy Pyrex for me. It's a 80 oz. oval casserole dish with lid.
It looks like it was never used it was still in the original box.
This paperweight was a gift from my boyfriend. It's signed on the bottom Edinburgh. I'm not sure who made it all I know is it was made in Scotland.
These paperweights are part of my collection and unsigned. I have a hard time not buying paperweights when I see them.

ReplyDeleteOh! Original box - lucky!
ReplyDeleteLover your paperweight collection! Great Pyrex in original box! Score!
ReplyDeleteThat's a very nice paperweight collection. They're so kaleidoscope-y. My favorite thing is the Pyrex in that great yellow.
ReplyDeleteIsn't the Daisy the cheeriest pattern?? Love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful treasures! I have almost the same Pyrex Casserole dish. The design on top is a little different but the colors are alike. I received it as a wedding gift in 1970 and I have used it often over the last 42 years. It's still in mint condition.
ReplyDeleteIsn't thrifing the best thing since sliced bread? I can't think of a better way to spend an afternoon than puttering around in a stuffed to the fills thrift shop!
Have a wonderful day, my new friend,
Carolynn
