A Bit Of This And That

This post is of my finds and also a visit to one of our local garden shops.

All my finds were found at secondhand stores.

This paperweight reminds me of a raindrop or teardrop. It's a great addition to my collection.

This pink and red brooch is an unsigned piece and I believe it is vintage.

Vintage Chip and dip bowls with metal holder and Ruby Red accent.

Yesterday my boyfriend and I went to one of our local garden stores to pick up sea soil potting soil and while there I took the above pictures.

  1. Love that vintage chip and dip set! Growing up we had a similar one and I made sure that it became "mine" when I was all grown up! It always brings back happy memories. (Onion dip was my favorite!)

  2. I've never seen a glass paperweight in that teardrop shape before. Really cool! Ooh, and I love old chip + dip sets for serving chips and salsa or hummus.

My father had a paperweight collectin, and I always marvel at their complexity. Love that one, and it does look like a teardrop. Very pretty. All three finds are are great!

  9. I have that same dip and chip bowl. I use it all the time. I think it is cute how the small bowl is above the larger one.

  10. I remember those chip and dip bowls! Such a great idea. Love the flower photos - I haven't been able to get to the garden center yet this year, as I'm working away from home. Can't wait!

Thanks so much for joining in this week.
