Sure Buy / Not A Sure Buy

In this post I have items that I knew for sure I had to come home with me but also there are items that I'm still trying to figure out why I walked out of the store with them.

This paperweight was a given, the moment I saw it I knew it had a place in my collection.

These mugs were made in Japan and are the item I'm not sure why I brought them home with me.  I still haven't  decided if I like them or not.

I can remember my mom having hot pads like these ones.  These are not quite my style yet somehow they made it into my shopping bag and came home with me.

These flowers and plant pictures are from around my yard.

This picture is from my boyfriend's late mother's albums.  It may have been taken in Germany sometime around 1900's to before World War 1.

  2. Those hot pads are just for looks--right? They're way too fancy to use. LOL

I like your blue mugs; thanks for sharing.

    Happy Blue Monday, Denise.

  3. I second guess my purchases all the time! At least, with thrifting, the financial stakes are usually pretty low. :) I actually like the mugs! They're definitely more interesting than most of those old Japan mugs I've seen.

  4. I like all your bring home items. You will find a place or use for them I am sure.

  5. The reason we can't get either car in our garage is because I have boxes of 'future collectibles' I couldn't bear to leave at the thrift shop, flea market, or yard sale. If I die first my husband's next wife will have a HUGE estate sale! haha -- Jan

  8. I went to an auction last week and bought things for a dollar. I figure if I don't like them I can give them to good will! I like the picture too. I love that era.

  9. I like the mugs! Those would be keepers for me! They are an interesting conversation piece, which to me, is always a good thing. Great finds!

  11. Those mugs look very seventies to me...not sure if they are, though. I, too, have a few things that I've purchased and questioned later.

Thanks so much for joining in this week1
