A Week Of Surprises

These last two weeks have been full busy days also they have been full of surprises to do with family.
My husband had something really good happen on his family side which I'm not able to go into detail about.
My side of the family also had something happen which was sadly not a happy event as we said goodbye to my great aunt yesterday.
It's always nice to see the family it's just not the event you want to bring you together.

The poem above was used at my aunts funeral I had never heard it before and I liked it so I thought I would share it.
Whenever I think of my aunt the one thing that always comes to mind is dancing, her and my uncle where great dancers.
She was at my wedding last year and it was funny because I did mostly 50's music and slowly added other decades music throughout and she said to my friend that she was enjoying the music and when the new stuff started it would be too bad my friend told her not to worry she wouldn't have to suffer through at lot of new music.  It was nice to know she enjoyed the music I picked.

My uncle and aunt gave me 64 paperweights to add to my collection so for the next while I will be sharing them with you.
I'm starting with the above ones which are not signed.

I found this mug holder it was originally avocado green and someone spray painted blue it but missed some spots I've decided to leave it the way I found it.
The mug was made in England and has blue and avocado colors the same as the mug holder a perfect fit.

This Rubik's cube is great and had to come home with me.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by.
Have a great week.

  12. The poem is a lovely tribute used at your aunt's funeral.
I like the purple/pink paper weight but the Rubik's cube brings back memories of frustration trying to beat our daughters with it. LOL
Thank you for linking to Mosaic Monday Denise.
