This mid modern looking tea set is made by Arklow in the Republic of Ireland the pattern is " Rhythm" by Pat McElheron.
This green enamel flower brooch is one of three enamel brooches I've found. I saw an idea of using them to make a flower bouquet on goggle images.
This Pyrex bowl is the Spring Blossom 1 pattern.
This is a vintage Canada Dry Pale Ginger Ale pop bottle.
"What A Wonderful World"
I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.
I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.
The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
They're really saying I love you.
I hear babies crying, I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll ever know
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
Yes I think to myself what a wonderful world.
Written by Bob Thiele (as George Douglas) and George David Weiss
I was surprised to learn this as I always associate this song to Louis Armstrong right away it's my favorite song by him.
This song I think fits with the thoughts of Spring.

ReplyDeleteLoooove the teas set! Visiting from The Scoop.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun premise you have here at your blog. Terrific round object to share in the vintage brooch.
ReplyDeleteLots of rounds here besides the brooch such as the old pyrex bowl, which I found at a junk shop (its twin) to replace the broken larger one in a set of three I got for a shower present many years ago>
ReplyDeleteBelated Happy St. Paddy's Day to you with all your green. Valerie
ReplyDeleteLove the Pyrex and the ginger ale bottle too. I remember my grandparents always had ginger ale at their house. I loved it!
ReplyDeleteBig Hugs,

I love all of your green (my favorite color - I hate to see St. Patty's Day pass so quickly). I love the song too.
ReplyDeleteGreen is my favorite color (along with blue) so I love all these. Especially the enamel daisy.. I collect those. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love that song too.
ReplyDeleteSmiles, Dottie
